NOA Seeks Increase Vigilance On Public Facilities

The National Orientation Agency has called for increased vigilance and alertness on the part of the citizenry to safeguard critical national infrastructure and common facilities. NOA says it is in view of recent successes recorded by the military in the war against insurgency.
Director General of the agency Mike Omeri said in a statement that this is a time to protect critical national infrastructure and common facilities including sources and channels of food and water supplies. He added that all hands must be on deck to support the military and complement their heroic efforts by availing security agencies of useful information about suspicious characters, items and movements Omeri specifically called on public agencies including Federal and State water boards as well as management of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps across the country to take extra measures to protect the environment and the citizenry by ensuring that farmlands, farm produce, water bodies and public water sources are not compromised.
