Hajj Stampede: 12 Taraba State Pilgrims Still Missing

At least 12 pilgrims from Taraba state are still missing after the Hajj stampede in Mina,Saudi Arabia. This is aside from the kpanti Zing,Abbas Sambo who has since been confirmed dead. A government delegation on Monday paid a condolence visit to the royal family in the aftermath of the tragedy One of Taraba’s prominent traditional rulers the kpanti zing is among the over 700 pilgrims who died in Mina in a stampede.
He died alongside his wife in the tragic incident.Deputy governor Haruna Manu who led a government delegation on a condolence visit described it a great loss to the state. Also in the delegation is the speaker of the state house of Assembly, Abel Diah In the use of the visit,the government officials disclosed that about 12 pilgrims from the state cannot be accounted for several days after the stampede.They however said the state government is making concerted efforts in collaboration with the Saudi authorities to locate their whereabouts.
