Governor Rochas Meeting With Labour Leaders Ends In Deadlock

If the resolutions made by governor Rochas Okorocha during the meeting held between him and labour leaders in state is something to go by, many workers with para starters in the state will start earning three times lesser than what they currently take home. The meeting which took place at the Sam Nbakwue executive chambers of IMO state government house lasted over four hours, as it features diverse deliberations among both parties.
And in the end reactions from both party shows that both are not in agreement with some of the resolutions. The governor who is bent on shaping the state for the better as he claim reads to the hearing of the entire audience his resolutions. With the response of the labour leaders they seams not happy with the governor’s decisions they want him to clear the unpaid salaries and then call for reductions later. Governor Rochas who had paid other civil servant even with one month extra put hold on that of workers with para starters due to sharp practices he noticed among them. However, the governor on his part having investigated what is obtainable in neighbouring state says no going back, he will pay what others are paying. As he reaffirm it being the best for the state. Even as the controversy lingered on some of the government top government functionaries lend their voice to the matter.
