Former FIFA executive committee member,
Amos Adamu says he is mobilising support
for ex-Abia State Governor Orji Uzor Kalu’s
bid to become next FIFA president because
he feels the Nigerian has what it takes to
run the world football governing body.
Adamu, who is confident Kalu would do well as the head of FIFA, wants all Nigerians to support the quest to bring the position to Africa. He says Kalu led Enyimba to win the CAF Champions League twice and this according to him cannot be ignored in world football. Adamu says he has been consulting widely to ensure that Kalu gets the mandate, adding that Nigeria is a giant in world football compared to countries like Jordan where a FIFA Presidential candidate, Prince Ali comes from.
