The Nigerian Military are moving closer
to the main camp of the Boko Haram sect in Sambisa
Forest.
Although they are encountering resistance from
insurgents manning a number of small posts, the soldiers
are unrelenting, as they are taking out the fringes and
other noticeable obstacles.
A transmitter, a cylinder, wires, kegs, arms and ammunitions, dane guns, knives, cutlasses, mattresses, pillows, among others could be seen on the scene of the battle. Interestingly, the troops hit the camp as the terrorists were preparing a meal. A fresh chicken going through roasting process and what looked like cooked rice on large trays are also visible in the images. Troops, have in the past few weeks, mercilessly dealt with the Boko Haram terrorists as they strive spiritedly to meet the December deadline set by President Muhammadu Buhari on total defeat of the sect.
