Animashaun, has said.

Sunday.
Animashaun said that her husband died during a brief illness at
the age of 77 at the First Cardiology Consultant Hospital, Ikoyi,
Lagos.
"He has been sick for about two months, but was showing signs of recovery. "His death was, however, a shock to us because the Saturday that preceded the day he died, we were all together and he was playing and joking with everyone around. "He also ate well and we were all happy. That is why the news of his death came to us as a rude shock, he will be greatly missed," she said. The widow said that the death of her husband had left a big vacuum in the entire family. She said that the deceased would be remembered for the parental care and love he showed, not just for his children, but to others who knew him. According to her, the deceased was a lover of children and education, and was at the forefront of ensuring that every Nigerian child is given qualitative education. She said that Animashaun was buried on Sunday at 2.00 p.m. in accordance with Islamic rites at the Abari Cemetery, Lagos Island. Animashaun said that there would be a three-day prayer in his honour on Tuesday, November 24 at his residence. She said that this would be followed by the eighth day fidau on Sunday.
