Simon Moses and Efe Ambrose scored for Nigeria, as they beat Swaziland
2-0 in Port Harcourt, to progress into the next round of qualifiers for the
2018 World Cup in Russia.
Sunday Oliseh’s team failed to score in the first leg of the tie
last Friday in Lombamba and needed an outright win at the
Adokiye Amiesamaka Stadium.
The Super Eagles failed to break down the visitors in the first half, but in the 51st minute, Simon scored the first goal. The AAA Gent forward stepped up and sent an excellent free-kick over the wall and into the net. Ambrose Efe made it 2-0 with three minutes left, as Swaziland’s resistance melted away.
