Official: Chelsea Sign Marco Amelia On A Free Transfer

Chelsea have completed the signing of former AC Milan goalkeeper Marco Amelia. The 33-year-old arrives on a free transfer to provide cover for Asmir Begovic and Thibaut Courtois, who is recovering from knee surgery and isn't expected to return until December.
Amelia has signed a contract with the Premier League champions that will expire at the end of the season. The Italian, who has been capped nine times by his national side, has been handed the No.32 shirt and is available for Chelsea's clash with Aston Villa on October 17.
