President Muhammadu Buhari has warned
military personnel to desist from human rights
abuses or risk been sanctioned.
The President gave the warning during the
passing out parade of cadets from the Nigerian
defence academy.
He however had nothing but praises for the
armed forces for their zest towards ending
insurgency in the country.
This is the 62nd passing out parade of the NDA and as usual graduating cadets are on the verge of being fully integrated into the armed forces President Buhari was the reviewing officer at the occasion. And speaking at the event,he described it as special to him especially as it was the first since he was sworn-into office few months ago. He also used the opportunity to warn troops at the frontline and other military personnel against indulging in human rights abuses The President assured the armed forces of necessary support and logistics to ensure that the military remains one of the best on the continent
