Plateau Gets New ALGON Chair, Others

Plateau State Local Government newly sworn in Caretaker Chairmen have elected a new set of executives to run the affairs of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria in the state. The Association of Local Government of Nigerian, a body saddled with the responsibility of defending the rights of Local Government officials in Nigeria, have elected new officials for the Plateau State chapter to fill the vacant positions created by the sacking of the previous elected council chairmen.
The election which was held behind closed doors saw the emergence of the caretaker management committee Chairman of Pankshin Local Government Council, Stephen Jings. The new chairman promised to do his best for the association.
