The Police in the Federal Capital Territory have
arrested nine robbery suspects who had been
disguising as cab operators to rob unsuspecting
passengers of their valuables in the FCT and its
environs. Police spokesman Anjuguri Manzah
disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on
Friday.
The Police said the arrest was as a result of the renewed effort of the command to rid the territory of hoodlums. He added that the FCT police have also busted a notorious armed robbery syndicate and recovered arms and ammunition from them. The Police spokesman revealed that the suspects were arrested after a gun battle in the Lugbe area.
