Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesnyhas confirmed that he is set to join Roma on loan in an Instagram video.
It was revealed last week that the Poland international was to be allowed to move to the Serie A club, with the Gunners having signed Petr Cech from Chelsea this summer.
David Ospina and Damian Martinez are set to provide competition to the Czech Republic international in the 2015-16 season and, as such, Szczesny has been given permission to move to Italy. The 25-year-old has now confirmed that he is set to fly to Rome on Monday as he looks to rubber-stamp the deal. "Good evening, Giallorossi supporters, I am very happy because tomorrow I go to Rome. See you then,” he said in the video on his personal social networking page. Arsene Wenger insists that the loan will not spell the end of Szczesny’s time in north London, despite confirming on Friday that the deal was “pretty much done.” "He will have a future here because I rate him highly,” he added. “He already has huge experience."
