Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton today signed a new 3-year deal with Mercedes worth in the region of 100million pounds. That means he will be making around £641,000 a week.
Mercedes unveiled the news that the 30-year-old, whose contract was due to expire at the end of this season, would be remaining with the team on the eve of this weekend's Monaco Grand Prix. Hamilton has signed a three-year deal which will keep him at the British-based outfit until the end of the 2018 campaign. The double world champion will also become Britain's highest-paid sportsman.
