Sevilla have confirmed they have agreed personal terms with Yevhen Konoplyanka.
The Andalucian club must now agree a deal with the player's current club, Dnipro, before securing his signature pending a medical.
The 25-year-old starred in his club’s run to the Europa League final last season, eventually falling to a 3-2 defeat to Sevilla at the National Stadium in Warsaw.
“Sevilla have reached an agreement with the player, in the absence of a medical and closing a deal with Dnipro,” read a statement on the club's website.
The Ukraine international hit eight goals as his side earned a third-place finish in the Ukrainian Premier League in 2014-15, attracting interest from the likes Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.
The move will bring to an end a nine-year spell with the club he joined as a youngster in 2006.
He becomes Sevilla’s fourth major signing after the arrivals of Adil Rami, Michael Krohn-Dehli and Gael Kakuta.
