Man Wrapped-Up For Snatching Laptop And Phone At Gunpoint

The police in Bayelsa State on Tuesday wrapped-up Godwin Maceteli, at a Bayelsa High Court, for conspiracy and armed robbery.
The accused was slammed with two-count charge. According to the prosecution, the accused committed the offences on June 28, 2014 in Yenagoa, the state capital. The accused allegedly on June 28, 2014 with others at large robbed one Mohammed Abubakar of various personal items, Tecno Mobile Phone and MTN modem, laptop and amount of money, the police said. Mr. Abubakar, who testified in court, said that the suspect robbed him by firing two gunshots to scare him. Justice M.I Akpomiemie adjourned the case to July, 22 for continuation of trial and ruled that the suspect be remanded.
