The Independent National Electoral Commission has fixed dates for gubernatorial elections in Kogi and Bayelsa state. It says the Kogi elections would hold on November 21 while that of Bayelsa is fixed for December 5.
INEC however noted in a statement that formal notices would be issued on or before August 23 and September 5 for the two states It also indicated that campaigns would begin on July 24 in Kogi state and end on November 19 while in Bayelsa,it would commence on September 6 and terminate on December 3. INEC wants parties participating in the two election to submit the names and personal details of their candidates before November 14 for Kogi state and December 7 for Bayelsa state.
