FIFA U-20 World Cup: F'Eagles Advances To Knockout Stage

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria strode confidently into the next round of the on-going FIFA U-20 World cup, beating Hungary 2-0 for their second straight win in group E. Two goals from Taiwo Awoniyi in both half secured victory for Nigeria as they get to face Germany in the round of 16.
Awoniyi’s first of his two strikes came in the 33rdminute after a wonderful cross from Sunday Godwin. The striker will add another in the start of the second half, crowning up a long throw from goalkeeper Enaholo with a wonderful solo finish. Taiwo Awoniyi Germany is one of the teams to beat at this tournament scoring 13 goals and conceding just two on their road to the knock out stage. However, the Flying Eagles will be hoping to cause a major upset when both sides square up in the round of 16. In the other game in group E, Brazil U-20 team beat North Korea U20, 3-0 to top the log and qualify with 9points. Meanwhile, the Super Falcons and Swedes counterparts will begin their campaign in Group D in the FIFA Women World cup tomorrow (June 8).
